In Memoriam Tributes
Tributes to Leslie E. Harris Lindsay

Leslie was a member of the HTCC Recertification Committee from its inception. She was dedicated to hand therapy and always added clear thinking to any discussion. She battled breast cancer for many years, doing so with a upbeat spirit that inspired us all. We will miss Leslies sense of humor and dignity.

Tribute by: Mary Kasch

This tribute is submitted by the Recertification Committee in loving memory of Leslie.

She co-owned Lindsay Hand Therapy Services with her husband, Mark, who is also a PT, CHT. She was a beloved long-time member of the Recertification Committee, a mentor to many hand therapists, and a friend to all. Leslie served actively on the Recertification Committee from its inception in 1996 until her untimely passing in 2009. She will always be remembered for her thoughtful contributions to the work and issues of recertification of CHTs, her dedication to the care of her patients, and for her quiet, cheerful bravery throughout her multiple year battle with cancer. The members of the Recertification Committee feel privileged to have known her and called her both colleague and friend.

Leslie had a very strong will before and during her prolonged illness. She will be missed.

Tribute by: Sue Michlovitz

I had the honor to work with Mark and Leslie at Lindsay Hand and Physical Therapy on and off for their last 2 years of practicing. A true dedication to patient care went with Leslie when she left this world, and when Mark retired from therapy. It was an upstanding and honest practice, where education and quality of care were the priority. I learned a great deal not only about how patients should be treated, but co-workers as well.
