Candidate Handbooks
- Handbooks may not be returned and the fee is non-refundable.
Certification Fee Refunds
- Eligible candidates who have submitted an application
and fee, and who later decide not to take the Hand Therapy
Certification Examination, may receive a partial refund
if a written request is received by September 1st of the
year registered. The registration fee will be returned minus
a $75 processing fee.
- Requests for refunds should be sent to the HTCC Administrative
Office and will be honored within 30 days of receipt.
- After September 1st and until the Hand Therapy Certification
Examination is administered, requests to withdraw from the
exam due to extreme personal hardship or extraordinary circumstance
will be considered on an individual basis. Such written
requests should be sent to HTCC.
- Requests for refunds after the exam is administered will
not be honored.
- Candidates who have requested and paid for an Additional
Test Site will receive a full refund of the $150 fee if
a site is not established. The refund will be processed
about six weeks before the examination is administered.
If the test site is established, no refund will be given.
Recertification Fee Refunds
- A CHT who has applied for recertification by examination but who does not pass the examination will receive no
refunds.
- A CHT who has applied for and been denied recertification
under professional development will receive a refund minus a $75.00 processing
fee.
Delivery Policies
Brochure orders and mailing label requests are filled
as they arrive at the HTCC office. Credit cards will be processed
at the time an order is filled. Unless otherwise requested,
orders are shipped by the United States Postal Service, via
either First Class or Priority mail, depending on the number
ordered. International orders are shipped Air Mail. Additional
fees will be charged for express mail service and must be
requested by the customer at the time of the order.
Handbooks are not available between July and January each
year. Orders will be accepted during this time, but credit
cards will not be processed until they are ready to ship,
usually late January or early February. Handbooks are shipped
Priority Mail in the US and Air Mail to other countries.
Payment for the Online CHT directory or posting a job notice
are processed at the time the order is approved and posted
on the website.
